Take Time To Explore... Visit The National Historic site of Red Bay. Hear the stories of our land! Hear the stories of our people! The visitor centre and museum, part of this national site, tells the amazing story of the Basque Whalers.... An actual whale skeleton is displayed at the Selma Barkham community centre.
While In Red Bay enjoy the Boney Shore walking trail and The Tracy Hill Walking Trail...Two fantastic hikes!
The tour is 135 kilometres from the Alexis, but well worth the effort

Celebrating Our Roots
Join us as we celebrate our roots, October 1st , 2013. Participate in our digital slideshow contest portraying the history and / or culture of Port Hope Simpson. The style of the slideshow is your choice with a limit of 50 pictures. Presentations of slideshows will be at 7:00pm with two divisions ( youth 12-18) (adult 19 and over). Awards will be given out in each catagory
